The WP3 aims to leverage biological and physical sensors signals to derive spatio-temporal risk maps of pest presence.
The WP3 will:
- Build spatio-temporal models of pheromon plume propagation, to predict pheromon levels from the emission source (the insects) to the receptor (the biosensors).
- Formalize an inverse model to predict the emission source position given the temporal signals of the biosensors deployed in the field. This task includes the derivation of an optimal positioning of the sensors in the landscape to improve risk map accuracy.
- Assess the quality of the resulting risk maps on controlled and in situ experiments.
- Package the numerical tools to easily deploy the methodology in new contexts.
